It is followed by extracts from Martin Del Rio, ‘Disquisitiones Magicae’ (page 302), Diodorus Siculus (page 310), Herodotus (page 386), and Tacitus, ‘Annals’ (page 406); all written in the same seventeenth-century hand, after 1645 (page 267), in France, probably in a religious - perhaps Jesuit - institution, to judge from the contents, and probably in the University of Paris, to judge from the praises of that university (page 269).
