Scope and Contents

The papers contain a description of the mine in the hand of Sir John Erskine (folio 1), instructions given by him to Dr Justice Brandshagen for prospecting and mining the silver, and several papers on the legal position of the mine. There is a list of shareholders (folio 36) of the company formed to mine the silver, and a copy of an article on the mine by the Reverend Robert Paul (folios 16-18), published in the 'Alloa Advertiser'”, 20 March 1880.
