Scope and Contents

The accounts, chiefly of the eighteenth century, with four from the seventeenth, are of payments by the town, mainly to trades-people; they include payments of the school-master's salary, 1660 (folio 3), of the minister's stipend, 1659-1660 (folios 1, 4), and of a sum towards the purchase of a manse, 1727 (folio 14).
