The letters are from various eminent correspondents and mainly relate to `The Glasgow Herald` and to Outram`s first privately printed collection of `Legal Lyrics` (1851). Correspondents include William Edmonstoune Aytoun, John Wilson and James Sheridan Knowles. With one unrelated letter, 1870, of Sir George Deas.
