The political and administrative papers particularly concerning Sir David Dalrymple's offices as Solicitor-General for Scotland and Lord Advocate. Included are drafts for memorials on the economy and Scottish politics following the Act of Union (folio 1). The miscellaneous verses begin on folio 70.

Small miscellany of letters (probably a remnant from a large collection), mostly by John Farquharson, formerly President of the Scots College, Douai, to the Scottish antiquary and historian, George Chalmers.
There are also three copies, all in Farquharson`s hand, of a memorial concerning the college. The items do not appear to have been arranged in any obvious order.

Transcript of correspondence, memorials, and other documents regarding the Irish Bible printed at the expense of the Honourable Robert Boyle, its distribution in the Scottish Highlands, and the creation there of libraries and schools, with reference to the Society for the Promotion of Christian Knowledge.
With an original letter from the Society for the Reformation of Manners, London, to the similarly named society in Edinburgh, 1708. The writers include the chief leaders of the movements in question.
