Scope and Contents Although there are examples of evidently early composition, the manuscripts appear on the whole to be fair copies, which bear several, sometimes many, corrections. These stories appear in “The Works of 'Fiona MacLeod'” with three exceptions. 'The daughter of the sun' (MS.8772, folio 44) appeared in ‘The sin-eater and other tales’, but only a small portion was retained in the ‘Works’, volume iii, page 181.
