Not to be confused with letterpress copybooks where the copies are created through a mechanical process.

Letter-books containing undated drafts of Alexander Kynynmound Elliot to an unnamed correspondent in England., August 1775-March 1776.

Scope and Contents

These letter-books were apparently written in the course of Alexander Kynynmound Elliot's voyage from Bengal to England, August 1775-March 1776. The drafts were possibly intended to be published in pamphlet form. MS.11022 contains a letter, 1879, of Sir Clements Robert Markham to Nina, Countess of Minto, presenting the volumes to the Minto family.
