(iii) The words (printed) of a 'Grand processional march', ?1896, on the verso of which is a strathspey in the hand of James Scott Skinner (folio 8);
(iv) Letter, 1917, of Skinner to Davidson (folio 9).

Music book, 'N[o] XVII', of the daughters of James Douglas containing songs by Mendelssohn and other German composers, and some Italian songs., Early 19th century-mid 19th century.
The volume is stamped ‘Music’ in gold capitals and inscribed 'N[o] XVII' on the upper cover.
One of the Italian songs is dated 1846 (folio 11 verso) and another 1848 (folio 10 verso). A printed Italian song is tipped in inside the front cover (folio i) and a contents list at folio 1.
Two leaves have been cut out after folio 11.
Music book of G Wade containing pieces arranged for flute solo (with some duets and trios), including some Scottish airs, but consisting chiefly of popular pieces by well-known contemporary, or near-contemporary composers.
The paper is watermarked 1825 and the pieces have been transcribed apparently at various times between 1827 (folio 1) and 1852 (folio 44 verso).
A leaf (or a fragment of a leaf) containing musical terms and their translations, apparently cut out of a printed work, is tipped in at the front (folio i).

The manuscript gives details of members of the Mackenzie family from Henry Mackenzie, the author's grandfather, married in 1712, to the children of his son, Lord Mackenzie.
