Scope and Contents
This small collection consists of three letters and show the early days of Donald James Stewart as a politician.
1. Letter from Janet King, organising secretary of the Scottish National Party, to Donald Stewart acknowledging receipt of his letter and offering help and assistance, 1938. 1 folio.
2. Letter from Arthur Donaldson, treasurer of the Scottish National Party, to Donald Stewart providing advice on setting up a branch of the Scottish National Party in Stornoway and commenting on political affairs of the Western Isles constituency, 1945. 1 folio.
3. Letter from Robert Curran, acting secretary of the Stirling and Clackmannan area council, to Donald Stewart concerning the appointment of a prospective candidate for Stirling and Falkirk burghs constituency, 1952. 1 folio.
