Scope and Contents
The letters concerning financial and business matters have been ordered alphabetically by correspondent name at the beginning of the sequence. Letters relating to the will of Lord Byron have been similarly ordered in alphabetical order afterwards.
When first made available for consultation, before foliation, this manuscript contained a letter of Henry Kirchhoffer to John Cam Hobhouse. This was moved to Ms.43517 ff.18-19 during cataloguing. Similarly, letters of James Barbaud, James Fozard, and Thomas and Phillip Griffiths have been moved to Ms.43525 ff.110-119.
Also, when first made available for consultation, the letter of J Webb and Co to Lord Byron dated September 1823, at ff.40-41 of this manuscript was housed in Ms.43424. This was moved to the current location during cataloguing.
