Letters of Lady Caroline Lamb to John Murray II., 1813-1815, 1911.
Scope and Contents
A letter relating to the letters of Lady Caroline Lamb to John Murray [II] has been placed at the start of the sequence. The rest of the letters have been arranged chronologically. Some of the letters were dated with reference to the website of Professor Paul Douglass, ‘Caro: the Caroline Lamb website’.
When first made available for consultation this folder of letters, before it was foliated, included a letter, provisionally dated 1815, of Lady Caroline to John Murray [II]. However, on cataloguing it was found that the letter was more likely to have been written in 1816, so it is now in MS.43467, folios 5-6.
