The contents are as follows. (i) Letters of Neil Benjamin Edmondstone to the Honourable John Edmund Elliot (folio 1); (ii) Copy of a letter of Charles Wrighte Gardiner, Military Department, to Thomas Stamford Raffles (folio 9); (iii) Letter of Neil Benjamin Edmonstone to the 1st Earl of Minto with an enclosed copy of a dispatch from the Bengal Government to Lieutenant-General Thomas Maitland, Governor of Ceylon (folio 11); (iv) Copy of a dispatch of the Bengal Government to the Secret Committee of the Court of Directors concerning the financial accounts of Sir Harford Jones (later Brydges) as Envoy at Teheran (folio 34); (v) Copies of letters of Lieutenant-Colonel Thomas Hawkins concerning the Mysore Princes (folio 42); (vi) Letter of Neil Benjamin Edmondstone to the 1st Earl (folio 48); (vii) Copies of dispatches of the Bengal Government to various Governors concerning the loss of the store ship 'Chichester' (folio 51); (viii) Correspondence, mostly copies, with the Bombay Government, the Resident at Baroda, and others concerning the affairs of Porbanda and Kutch (folio 71).
