Scope and Contents
In some parts Charles Scott gives a fairly full account of his activities. The diaries for 1830-1832 deal only with Continental journeys, with some allusions to Sir Walter Scott’s last visit to the Continent. The last entry was made on 18 September 1841, in the neighbourhood of Tabriz, six weeks before the writer's death.
