The collection is known both as the `Denmilne State Papers` and the `Denmilne Collection`. Less formally it is often referred to as the `Denmilne Manuscripts`.
Contemporary copies of state papers, concerning the negotiations between Charles I and the Covenanters, which led up to the Pacification of Berwick and the Covenanters` protestation of 1 July.
