(ii) Copies, not in Sibbald`s hand, of descriptions of Shetland and the Hebrides written in the second half of the 17th century (inverted page 1).

Notebook of the 2nd Earl of Minto containing a journal of a tour through the Southern Highlands from Blair Atholl to Dunkeld, Callander, Loch Katrine, and returning to Edinburgh via Stirling., 15-21 July 1808.
The 2nd Earl of Minto refers (folios 3-4) to extensive current emigration from the Atholl district to Prince Edward Island, and to its deliberate stimulation by emigration agents. The journal is incomplete, pages 37-60 only.
