Manuscript ‘List of Electors of the County of Perth’, possibly prepared by one of the rival parties for the parliamentary by-election of that year (May 1834).
In addition to details extracted from the electoral rolls, the list has a column reserved, but not used, for `Observations` of canvassers.

Manuscript on botany.
The contents of the manuscript are as follows:
(i) `Historia plantarum in horto regio Parisiensi`, late 17th century (folio 1). A list of plants, followed (folio 275) by a list of the trees and shrubs. They are closely related to Joseph Pitton de Tournefort`s Schola Botanica (Amsterdam, 1689), but are not as full.
(ii) `Methodus plantarum secundum D.D. Turnefortij principia Adornata`, dated at Paris, 14 April 1696 (folio 305).
