Scope and Contents The main text, the ‘Lilium medicinae’, was written about October 1621 (folio 102 verso) at Duart (34 verso, 39 recto) for ‘Eoin’ (39 verso), presumably by John Beaton of the Pennycross family (1594-1657), father of the Reverend John.
