Includes: legal memoranda relating to the descent of the estate of Alva from Sir Charles, 1st Baronet, on his death in 1690, to Sir James, 2nd Baronet, and, in 1693, to Sir John, 3rd Baronet. Other papers concern the claims of Lord James Murray, son of the 1st Marquess of Atholl, to the estates in Ireland claimed by his father-in-law, Sir Robert Crighton. Ch.4321 is a passport signed by Edward Villiers, Earl of Jersey.
