The entries in this diary are not continuous with those of MS.15902. They take the diary up to May 1861 and then (folio 13) describe a tour to Coblenz, Mainz, Frankfurt and Heidelberg. This is followed (folio 32) by a diary in German of a tour made by James Smith and his family in May 1862 in Germany, Switzerland, France and London.
