Scope and Contents The Gask family, a cadet branch of the Lords Oliphant, acquired most of their lands by purchase from Laurence, Lord Oliphant (succeeded 1593), so that their charter-chest contained many deeds of the senior branch, relating mainly to south Perthshire (baronies of Aberdalgie, Dupplin, and Gask, and bailiery of Inchaffray) and Caithness.
