`Chronicle of Perth`, 1210-1668, also known as Mercer`s Chronicle and Fleming`s Chronicle, with other documents relating to the burgh of Perth.
The `Chronicle` was compiled probably between 1600 and 1668 by more than one person. Though attributed to John Mercer, town clerk of Perth, only the latter part appears to be his work. From 1660 it is almost entirely a register of burials.
Other items in the volume are a fragment of a legal memorial, circa 1597, concerning the foundation of the King James VI Hospital in Perth (folio 1), and a group of letters concerning Royal Burgh affairs (1614-1628), all copies (folio 20).

The manuscript, which is in different hands of the seventeenth century, wants pages 1-2, 15-16, and 21-26.

Chronicon Angliæ, 400-1327, being a nineteenth century transcript of Barberini MS.2689, which was written at Sempryngham in the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries., 13th century-14th century.
According to a note (folio iv), dated 1823, by Luigi Maria Rezzi, Librarian of the Barberini Library, the transcript was made by him for Benjamin Heywood Bright.

The copy of the chronicles is followed (folio 115) by 'Digitus Dei or Gods [[judgement]] Justice upon Treacherie and Treason & c.', a polemic against the 1st Duke of Hamilton. The signature 'W.Sanders' dated 1697 is on folio 1.

The work is preceded by a dedication to Robert Heywood, Governor of the Isle of Man, and 'The supposed true cronicle of the Isle of Mann, coppied out of the originall'. It is written on paper watermarked 1744.

‘Extracta ex variis chronicis Scotiae’, a transcript made for Walter Macfarlane of Macfarlane, 1738, taken from the original manuscript, Adv.MS.35.6.13, a collection of extracts of chronicles, late 15th century-early 16th century, mostly taken from Fordun and Boece with extensive annotations in the hand of Sir William Sinclair of Roslin.
Later additions in the original are here collected at the end (pages 249). The folio numbers of the original are given in the margin, and the index which is placed at the beginning in the original, is here transferred to the end (page 263).

A number of items in the Wodrow collection are in the same hand, and the copyist appears to have worked fairly frequently for Robert Wodrow. Later additions in the original are here collected at the end (page 159) and partially in a different hand, but the copyist breaks off in mid-entry at folio 296 verso of the original. The folio numbers of the original are given in the margin, and the index, which is placed at the beginning in the original, is omitted.
