Papers of W. D. Brown concerning his escape from Malaya and Singapore during the Japanese invasion in early 1942. The papers include three typescript accounts, describing his flight from Klang, his journey to Singapore, and departure from Singapore and subsequent experiences. Also included is Brown`s annotated copy of Oswald W. Gilmour`s book `Singapore to freedom`.
