Scope and Contents
Contains: 1. A manuscript of fiddle music, second half of the nineteenth century, containing many pieces of north-eastern Scottish origin, and some by William Marshall; incomplete at the beginning, pages numbered 9-40, [2]. 2. An arrangement for voice and piano, by the same scribe, of William Wadsworth Longfellow`s poem "The Bridge", beg. "I stood on the bridge at midnight". 3. Correspondence, 1977, between A.C.F. Masson, Elgin, and Ian Grant Smith, Edinburgh, with a photocopy of a letter, 1814, of William Marshall.
