Scope and Contents
The collection comprises original typescripts of mostly published material including several articles, circa 1988-2009, on trade union history, politics and the co-operative movement. It also includes a small file of correspondence, 1973-1980, between James Craigen and several political and trade union leaders including ex-Prime Minister Harold Macmillan, Lord Shinwell, former TUC secretaries Lord Citrine, Lord Feather and Sir Vincent Tewson, and John Henry, Deputy General Secretary of the STUC in 1980.
