Sketchbook of Eric Bower, entitled 'Digital Doodles During Lockdown'.
Scope and Contents
Eric Bower was born in Edinburgh in 1943. He worked for the BBC as a Film and Video Editor, and was also an Associate of the Royal Photographic Society. Since his retirement, he has devoted himself to digital photography and digital imaging using Adobe Photoshop, showing his work in national and international exhibitions.
This printed sketchbook, or photo journal, contains 'an eclectic collection of digital, sometimes offbeat' images and words created with a camera and computer during the periods of 'lockdown' caused by the Covid-19 pandemic in Scotland, and was designed to capture Bower's emotions 'as they fluctuated between highs and lows over the months'.
