Letter, 1887, of Queen Victoria to Rev. Dr. Donald MacLeod.
Content Description
An autograph letter, written on Balmoral stationary on 5 June 1887, to Rev. Dr. Donald MacLeod, minister of the Park, Glasgow, and chaplain to Queen Victoria. With an envelope not belonging to this letter but also addressed in Queen Victoria's hand to Rev. Dr. Donald MacLeod, stamped Windsor, 1886, and bearing the Queen's black seal on the back.
The letter is using the third person singular and originally accompanied a short biography that the Queen was sending to MacLeod. The letter also mentions an enclosed photograph, no longer present, of her daughter with her family.
