Custodial History
The volume is stamped 'AO' on each cover, presumably the initials of its first owner. It was later owned by a Captain Grant, whose name is written inside the back cover and stamped on folios 1 and 80 verso, and by Duncan Macrae, the retired minister of Grantully, whose name is written inside the front cover.
The notebook was bought by the National Library of Scotland with the aid of the Murdoch Henderson Fund.
