Bibliography
Extracts from the correspondence of Lord Cornwallis are printed by Charles Ross in his edition of Cornwallis' ‘Correspondence’, 2nd edition (London 1859), with some errors in transcription. The extensive portions not printed by Ross treat of all the affairs, civil and military, which are the subject of those printed by him, and of other matters, such as the advantages of stations in and beyond the Bay of Bengal. The papers have also been used in A Aspinall, ‘Cornwallis in Bengal’ (Manchester, 1931).
