Scope and Contents
The contents of the volume are as follows:
(i) `Extract of the practiques of the Commissioners for valuatione of teinds and plantation of Kirks`, 1629-1643. Those from 1631 to 1643 are also in Adv.MSS.31.2.11, page 126, and 33.2.40, last item. (Page 1.)
(ii) `Admiralitie. The fforme and manner of holding of courts of Admiraltie and proces led before them`. This text appears elsewhere (Adv.MS.28.4.7; and, in an abbreviated form, MS.1948) as an appendix to Alexander King`s `Tractatus legum et consuetudinum navalium.` This copy is incomplete, breaking off in mid-sentence in the 7th last paragraph of the section `The forme used in Civil Causes.` (Page 29.)
(iii) A copy, without title, of ‘Minor Practicks’ by Sir Thomas Hope. (Page 56.)
