The manuscript, which was apparently presented to Edward VI, is written in a formal book-hand and contains one large initial in gold, yellow and black on a brown ground.

Vellum. Bound in brown calf stamped with the arms of Edward VI and texts from Proverbs and St Luke`s Gospel.
Custodial History
The names James, Archibald and Thomas Lightbody appear on the flyleaves in a late 16th-century hand. The manuscript was presented to the Advocates’ Library in 1705 by William Blackwood, Edinburgh.
Immediate Source of Acquisition
Presented, 1925, by the Faculty of Advocates to the nation on the foundation of the National Library of Scotland.
