Scope and Contents
The contents are as follows: (i) Watercolours of landscapes in Argyll, Bute (Loch Ranza), Dunbartonshire, Inverness-shire, Perthshire and Roxburghshire (Melrose), with three unidentified scenes (folio 1); (ii) Sepia sketches of a town (possibly Thurso) and three unidentified scenes (folio 25); (iii) A series of ink and wash sketches of landscapes in Argyll, Dunbartonshire, Inverness-shire and Perthshire, with seven unidentified scenes (folio 29); (iv) Pencil sketch, 1859, of Branklin Lynn, Callander, initialled G F W, and apparently by a different artist from the other sketches (folio 48).
