Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements
Bound in a contemporary ‘Hart’ binding (cf. ‘Scottish Bookbinding’, pages 71-73, 80-81). The letters GLHG stamped upside-down on the covers have been partly obliterated by other small stamps superimposed on them.
Custodial History
The manuscript was probably bought at the sale of Sir Robert Sibbald`s library, 1723.
Immediate Source of Acquisition
Presented, 1925, by the Faculty of Advocates to the nation on the foundation of the National Library of Scotland.
