Page-proofs of ‘History of St Andrews’ by the Reverend Charles J Lyon, with numerous corrections and additions by the author, related notes and miscellaneous papers.
Scope and Contents
The ‘History’ was first published in one volume in 1838; the 1843 edition was considerably enlarged in two volumes. Only a small number of the corrections on these proofs appear in the 2nd edition; the remainder, with the additions and insertions, were probably intended for a 3rd edition.
