The volume includes four letters, 1544 and 1550, addressed to Mary of Guise from the Regent Arran and others (folio 2); a letter, 1597, of Sir Walter Lindsay of Balgavie to James VI, written during his term of exile (folio 11); two letters, 1672, of the Earl of Kincardine, discussing the progress of the French campaign in Holland (folio 30); and a small collection, 1666-1668, concerning the affairs of Viscount Stormont (folio 34).
