Copy, late 15th or early 16th century, of material, early 14th century-1364, concerning the Parlement de Paris.
Scope and Contents
(i) List of contents (folio 1).
(ii) Guillaume du Breuil, `Stylus curie Parlamenti` (folio 5). This manuscript was known to Félix Aubert who edited the ‘Stilus curie Parlamenti’ (Paris, 1909). It belongs to Aubert`s second family of manuscripts; chapter 25 follows chapter 21, and chapter 37 item 39 is omitted. There are many inaccuracies and the scribe made a number of additions in the margin.
(iii) `Sequuntur ordinationes adiunctiones et statuta parlamenti` (folio 122). A collection of decrees and statutes relating to judicial procedures in the Parlement, 1344-1364.
Written in one hand throughout. No decoration apart from one large blue initial (folio 5).

Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements
Paper: watermarks fleur de lis and unicorn, with one example (folio 7) of star and crown (cf. Briquet 6117).
Custodial History
There are no marks of ownership except for a 19th-century crest and motto, possibly of the Elphinstone family, stamped on the spine. The manuscript was bought by the Advocates’ Library in 1911.
