Scope and Contents
The arrangement of the notebook is as follows:
musical theory (folios 1-19, 35-66);
tenor and bass parts only to 13 common psalm tunes, all in the psalter of 1635 (folios 20-32);
the proper tune for psalm 119, tune only (folio 33);
melody and figured bass parts to 10 psalm tunes, possibly from a collection circa 1750 (folios 66 verso-71);
miscellaneous recipes for colours, medicines, etc. (folios 76-115); and,
a poem ‘Resignation`.
