Photographs, one each, of the Macarthur brothers: Alexander, in Montreal circa 1865, Duncan, in Winnipeg, 1890, and David, possibly in Winnipeg, undated.
Two photographs of Peter Macarthur in middle and old age; with further photographs of his paddle steamer 'Saskatchewan' on Lake Winnipeg; a tug 'Isabelle' pulling a timber raft on the Lake, 1923; and a cutting from the 'Winnipeg Free Press' dated 17-9-1936, with obituary notice of Peter Macarthur and photograph of his 900ft timber raft on Lake Winnipeg, 1891.
Two photographs of James Macarthur (1848-1926, emigrated 1869), one probably before his departure, 1869, the other a family group circa 1882/3; with a photograph taken in Nairn, undated, of 'Grand mother Sarah Dallas' and children, Alexander, Peter and Duncan.

Duplicated typescript copies of newspaper obituaries 'Duncan Macarthur, Former Banker, Dead', 1907, and 'Enterprising Career Closes With Death of Peter Macarthur', 1936, giving details of their lives, and business activities in Manitoba; with a copy of the 'Manitoba Pagent' (Autumn 1972), containing a story 'Fate of a Fur Trader' [Robert Sinclair, an Orcadian Hudson's Bay Co trader] by Alexander Macarthur, and a copy of the latter's obituary from the 'Morning Call', Winnipeg, 22 Aug 1887.
