The collection originally contained the manuscript of the first canto of Sir Walter Scott's 'Lay of the Last Minstrel' and his travel journal, 'Voyage in the light house yacht to Nova Zembla'. These manuscripts are owned by the Abbotsford Trust and are held at Abbotsford House.
2 manuscript leaves of Scott's novel 'Kenilworth', also part of the collection, are now held at the British Library with the 'Kenilworth' manuscript.
General
Blavatnik Honresfield Library. After the acquisition in 2021 of the Honresfield library the collection was distributed between various institutions. Collectively the holdings across those institutions are now known as the Blavatnik Honresfield Library in recognition of the generosity of Sir Leonard Blavatnik in supporting the acquisition.
