Scope and Contents
These papers relate to Magnusson's time working for Scottish Natural Heritage. The organisation was formed in 1992 following the amalgamation of the Nature Conservancy Council for Scotland and the Countryside Commission for Scotland. Magnusson served as the Chairman of the organisation from 1992 until 1999. The papers contain minutes from SNH meetings, papers from working groups, such as those relating to the designation of the Cairngorms as a European Heritage Area and a series of papers relating to work with the Joint Nature Conservation Committee. A large sequence of these papers concern research notes, correpsondence, speeches and reports on matters relating to natural heritage in Scotland.
