Scope and Contents
Notes of Ian Rankin, 2015-2016, relating to the development of the plot and characters for ‘Rather Be the Devil’. Folios 1-64.
Most of the notes are undated. The distinction between the notes and drafts is often unclear. As far as possible, evidence of development and changes in theme and plot have been used to inform the arrangement.
Includes research on money-laundering and certain medical conditions.
