Scope and Contents
The contents are as follows. (i) Correspondence, memoranda, and other papers connected with the official aspects of the 4th Earl of Minto's visit to the Yukon in 1900, including material relating to the grievances submitted to him, as well as much incidental information on transport, fuel supply, land leasing, the cost of living, etc. (folio 1); (ii) Letters of the 4th Earl Grey, 1900-1908, concerning the raising of Canadian troops for service in Rhodesia, relations with the United States especially in connection with American business methods in British Columbia, and the incorporation of Newfoundland into Canada (folio 174).
