The papers include the correspondence of George Bannerman, Advocate, 1674-1675 (folio 1), of Mr Duncan Robertson, Writer, 1676-1685 (folio 15), and of Ronald Campbell, Writer to the Signet, 1693-1713, undated (folio 54); an account of ships laden at Grange Works, the fees of which went to the upkeep of the May light, 1640-1642 (folio 96); complaints against Robert Russell, Provost of Stirling, [circa 1673] (folio 100); the declaration of the Presbyterians now in the West of Scotland, 1679 (folio 105); satirical poems of about the late 17th century (folio 127); and reports and proposals regarding the increase of Roman Catholicism, mainly in the Highlands and Islands, 1714—1718 (folio 143).
