The contents are as follows: (i) Papers, 1871-1944, undated, chiefly concerning the sale of manuscripts belonging to the Stevenson family. Much of the correspondence is with James Maclehose from 1914-1918. (Folio 1.) (ii) Papers, 1932, undated, concerning the business books of Archibald Constable and Robert Cadell, presented to the National Library of Scotland by John Horne Stevenson in 1932 (MSS.789-902), and the Cadell collection of Walter Scott's correspondence (MSS.742-745).
