It deals with the theories of Newton, Timaeus and Plato. (iii) Two papers on the Pythagoreans, 1770, undated (Folio 38.) Monboddo numbers 31, 21. (iv) 'Of the history of the Epicurean philosophy', undated (Folio 82.) Originally part of a letter. Monboddo number 60. (v) 'Observations on Diogenes Laertius', 1769. (Folio 90.) Monboddo number 96.
