Scope and Contents
The committee had been appointed by the National Advisory Committee of the Independent Labour Party to arrange for the issue of a daily paper to be called the 'Herald'; the minute envisages an evening paper, printed in time for evening sale in Scotland and Wales, and run by a company with the Peace and land movements as well as the ILP represented on the management. The Fabian Society, and the Executive of the Labour Party were also to be approached for support.
