Scope and Contents
The contents are as follows: (i) Four theological works in hands apparently of early seventeenth-century provenance (folios 1, 40, 59, 100); (ii) Two holograph sermons of John Gray (folio 107); (iii) Amended copies by Andrew Blackball of sermons of Robert Rollock 1598 (folio 115); (iv) "A serious address to the minrs of ye Presbyterian Party" in Gray's hand (folio 141); (v) "A short catechisme" followed by a sermon, both in another seventeenth-century hand (folio 152); (vi) Sermons, 1694, undated (folio 154 verso), two poems (folio 180), and another sermon (folio 184), all in Gray's hand; (vii) A book of medical instructions (folio 187), preceded and followed by medical prescriptions (folios 186, 244), all in a seventeenth-century hand (at folio 246 is the date 1698), followed by an index (folio 247).
