Correspondence of Marion Coleman with friends., 1835-1881.
Scope and Contents
Besides writing regularly to her family and her uncle, Marion Coleman maintained a large correspondence in English and French, with a wide circle of friends, many of whom were members of prominent continental families. These letters appear to have been written between 1835 and 1881, with the greater number written between about 1850 and 1870, but most are undated, and many are unsigned.
