Custodial History
The documents appear to have belonged to Ralph Verney, 2nd Earl of Verney (possibly having been collected by his father, the first Earl), whose bookplate is pasted inside the folder in which they were originally contained, and presumably came into Charles Berries' possession after Verney's death in 1791.
Separated Materials
The original cover, which is a late eighteenth-century English binding in gold-tooled red morocco, has been transferred to the Department of Printed Books, where it has the press-mark Bdg.m.49.
