(ii) Letter, 5 November 1823, of Warren Hastings Anderson to the Earl of Elgin, with Elgin's reply, concerning the appointment of Elgin as President of the Society of Antiquaries. (Folio 3.)

(iii) Letter, 1828, of Warren Hastings Anderson to the Sicilian diplomatist and politician, Pietro Lanza, Principe di Scordia e di Butera, with letters, 1828-1841, of Butera to Anderson and his wife. These letters include descriptions of visits to Siberia, 1836, and Sweden, 1840, and of the appearance and disappearance of a volcanic island between Sicily and Pantelleria in 1831, as well as many personal matters.
