Scope and Contents
The contents are as follows:
(i) Calendar; later entries have been made as follows: Hyginus (12 January), Hilarius (13 January), Marcellinus (16 January), Anastasius (27 April), Felix (30 May), Stephanus (3 August), Calixtus (14 October), Linus (26 November) (folio 1);
(ii) Hours of the Blessed Virgin Mary (folio 13);
(iii) Penitential Psalms (folio 65); Fifteen Gradual Psalms (cues only for the first twelve) (folio 77 verso);
(iv) Litany, followed by prayers (folio 80 verso).
Miniatures of the Annunciation (folio 13) and of the Agony in the Garden (folio 22); historiated initial of Saint Christopher (folio 36 verso); large illuminated initials and foliate borders in gold and colour (folios 13, 22 verso, 65); smaller illuminated initials, pen-flourishes in red and blue, and other ornament throughout.
Prayers have been added by later hands on two paper leaves inserted at the end (folio ii).

Contains the bookplate of John M Gray. The name Thomas Fortescue is written backwards, in a sixteenth-century hand, on folio 64 verso.
